Paid event tickets and check-in
For organisers: whoever can edit an event (its host, or a community's admins for the community's events) adds ticket types on the event's page: a name, a price in naira and how many. A type that has sold can't be removed or set below what's sold; set its number to what's sold to stop selling it. You're paid after the event ends (and the 24-hour window for problems), to your bank account under Rates & payouts, less your plan's usual commission, the same as for sessions.
For buyers: choose the type and how many (up to 10 at a time) and pay by card or bank through Paystack. Each ticket gets its own code and QR code, under My tickets, on the event's page, and in your confirmation email. Each lets one person in, once. When a type is sold out, it says so before you pay.
Check-in at the door: the organiser taps Check-in on the event (or opens /events/<event>/checkin) and types a code, or taps Scan QR codes where the browser can read them (Chrome on Android, for example). Pointing any phone camera at a ticket's QR also opens the check-in page and checks it. The page answers Valid — Ada Obi, Regular, Already checked in at 18:05, Not a ticket for this event, or Not valid: refunded, and counts who is in.
Refunds: a refunded ticket stops working straight away and goes back on sale.
Setting up the event itself: see Events. Communities can also take offerings and donations with Giving.
