Discount codes and coupons
Make a code for your own products (every plan): go to Account → Discount codes (/profile/discounts) and choose New code.
- The code: 3 to 20 letters, numbers or dashes, like `WELCOME10`. Buyers type it at checkout; capitals don't matter.
- The discount: a percentage (1% to 90%) or a naira amount off.
- What it works on: your shop items, downloads, courses and booked sessions; or only some of them (paste their links).
- Limits, all optional: total uses, uses per member (one by default), a start and an end date, a minimum order, and "only for a first order from you".
You see how many times each code was used, how much it took off and what buyers paid. You never see who used it. Pause a code at any time, for example if it's shared somewhere you didn't mean.
What a code never does: take the price under ₦100, touch the delivery fee, or work on someone else's products. You can't use your own code.
The money: the discount comes off your price, and #NotesApp's commission is worked out on what the buyer actually paid. On a basket the discount is shared across the items in proportion to their prices.
Using a code as a buyer: at checkout choose Have a discount code?, type it and Apply. You see what it takes off before you pay; the price is checked again when you pay. #NotesApp's own codes work on boosts, Nana credit, merch and the logistics and inventory add-ons.
Codes on Pro and Business: on the pricing page, choose Have a discount code? under the plan. A #NotesApp plan code takes its discount off your first payment (a month or a year, whichever you choose); the plan then renews at its usual price on the same card. You can also type a member's referral code there (see Referrals and affiliates). One code per order.
Coupons: a code can also be a coupon.
- In your shop: tick Show it as a coupon in my shop on a code. Buyers see it on your shop and product pages and can Save it.
- As a card: Share on a code gives a link whose preview is the coupon's card (good for WhatsApp and Instagram). Whoever opens it can save it, copy the code, or go straight to your shop.
- For affiliates: tick Affiliates can share it. Each affiliate then has their own version on the affiliate marketplace, like `TOLU-AMAKA10`: buyers get the same discount, and the affiliate earns your affiliate share on what they sell.
Nana's pick: at checkout, Nana applies the coupon that takes the most off: from the coupons you saved (Account → My coupons) and the ones the store offers. It shows as Nana's pick; remove it or type another code if you like.
Coupons ending soon: when a coupon in My coupons ends within 3 days, your bell tells you once a day, and a bar under the header reminds you the first time you open #NotesApp each day and whenever you sign in.
One store, its own coupons: a store's coupon only works in that store. Type another store's coupon (or a #NotesApp coupon in a store) and you'll see "Input a coupon from this store."
Your saved coupons are under My coupons. For sellers, Store selling sums it up; for affiliates, see Referrals and affiliates.
