Co-teaching a course
On Teach a course, a course's lead (its owner, or for an organisation's course its admins and the team member who made it) can invite up to 4 co-tutors by @username under 4. Tutors, choosing for each one what they can do and their share of each sale (from 0%; the lead keeps at least 10%).
Access levels
- Can view: they see the course and every lesson, draft or published, read-only (open it from Teach with Preview), to review it and send the lead their comments. No editing.
- Can view and edit: they also edit the course's details, About, modules and lessons, including quizzes and uploads.
- Either way, the lead keeps publishing and unpublishing, the price and certificate, the shares, invitations and deleting the course.
Accepting means agreeing. The invitation arrives in the bell and by email and opens a page with who invited you, the course's title and cover, your access in plain words, your share (paid to your bank 7 days after each sale, less your own plan's commission; a refunded sale is refunded from every share), the credit (listed as a co-tutor on the course page), that the lead keeps publishing control, and how to leave. Accept and agree records the terms you saw, with the date; the lead sees "Accepted on" that date under Tutors. To accept you need a publishing account (Free Basic or above).
Changing it later: the lead taps Change access or share. Less access applies at once and the co-tutor is told. More access, or a different share, is sent for them to agree (it waits on their Teach page and in the bell); their current terms stay until they do. Courses can be changed after publishing too.
Leaving and removal: a co-tutor taps Leave under Tutors; the lead taps Remove (or Withdraw for an invite still waiting). Credit and the share of later sales end then, and the other person is told.
Co-tutors who joined before access levels existed keep what they had: they can view and edit. See Teaching and learning on Notes Academy.
